Pink October with Foil Me

This October, we will be continuing our support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) for our 6th consecutive year, by donating $1.00 from every sale of The Knobel Collection during October. This is to assist NBCF's mission of achieving zero deaths from breast cancer.

NBCF is Australia’s leading national body funding game-changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. They receive no government funding.

In keeping with the brand’s creativity and reputation for instigating change, to date, collaboratively, we have raised over 120k for the NBCF through our previous Pink October campaigns. This has included creating three custom foil collections to support the cause, encouraging the hairdressing industry to support the cause through their Salon Spirit competitions and creating the name for the month of October, 'Pink October' where we also created clothing merchandise to assist in raising funds and awareness on a 'Pink Day'.

Since NBCF's inception in 1994, the five-year survival rates for breast cancer have increased from 76% to 92%, and this was achieved from over $200 million being invested in nearly 600 research projects. This year, with the help of the industry, Foil Me hopes they can further assist the NBCF to get closer to their mission: Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

Undeniably one of the most virulent forms of cancer – one in 7 women (and approximately 1 in 600 men) will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime – it’s been an ideal fit for us to utilise our iconic pink - The Knobel Collection -  to give back to the community.

The NBCF is proud to identify, fund and champion world-class research that will help detect tumours earlier, improve treatment outcomes, and ultimately – save lives. More than ever, NBCF is focusing keenly on how they can do more with less, in order to achieve great outcomes that will impact the longevity and quality of life for patients with breast cancer.
