Foil’d Up for 2019: the 2020 Foil Me Forecast!

With Christmas right around the corner and a new decade fast approaching, we thought we’d take the time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very well-deserved break!

5th Birthday
To begin with we celebrated our half a decade; blowing out our 5th birthday candles on the 29th of January! We look forward to many more years of making the life of colourists around the world simpler, more fun and enjoyable!
New Collab and Ambassador for the USA
Then, we released the collaboration with Evan Stowers, the ever so cute green cacti and gold The Desert Lounge foil! We also announced Evan as our very first USA ambassador!
New Member to our Team
We welcomed Isabelle to our team in May who is our social media and marketing genie! Who loves our Instastories especially? Or perhaps you’re impressed with our You Tube additions or the blog on our website? You can thank Isabelle for those! She’s a genius!
Someone say LOOOOOONG?
Due to popular demand, we created The Long collection who are your new BFF when creating magic for your extra-long haired guests and the oh so popular balayage trend. These are available in two sizes 12.5cm by 35cm and 15cm by 35cm.
We Welcome Another Genie
Chelsea, our graphic designer genie was (and still is) a very welcome addition to the Foil Me family – she brings Emily’s crazy and creative ideas to life and assists the other staff with email and social media enquiries.
Telstra Business of the Year Awards
In September we attended the Telstra Business of the Year Awards as a finalist for the small and succeeding category for SA. It was such an honour to be chosen out of 21,000 businesses and we are so grateful to our Foil Me lovers for helping us get there!
Did You Wise Up?
In October we kicked off our fundraising and awareness Wise up in PINK campaign organised to assist the National Breast Cancer Foundation in raising vital funds for breast cancer research. This was our third year and we had over 250 salons and businesses involved. Collectively, with the involved salons and businesses, we raised over 31,000.00! We are super-duper proud of this achievement, and a special thanks to all our pinkies who Wise’d Up in Pink with us this year - as you should all be super proud too!!!! 😊 We look forward to continuing our corporate partnership with the NBCF again next year, to work together in achieving the goal of #zerodeathsby2030.
The Redken x Foil Me: A WORLD FIRST
ovember 1st, we launched a long-awaited collab with the global hair colour company, Redken where we designed a foil that could be used in conjunction with their newest product, the Flash Lift with Bonder Inside. Due to its specific alloy, microns, and matte black coating, we released this first-of-its-kind foil, globally (YEP, this is a BIG DEAL)!! The collection is available in our signature Original (12.5cm x 27cm) and Wide (15cm x 27cm) size and it’s silent, sexy and sleek.

To continue to educate, elevate, create and innovate, we re-launched our blog (hooray!!) and broadcasted Foil Me TV on our YouTube channel!
The Reindeer – a Festive First
As the festive season rolled around (faster than we could keep up, anyone else…!!??) we released a festive limited-edition foil, The Reindeer!! This collection (literally) flew out the door in less than 3 days (thank you for your support, lovers!). As an extra Christmas gift we decided to express sleigh a second release and they are available NOW!

We didn’t stop there, though, lovers! To end the year and give you a sneak peek of what’s to come in 2020, we launched a NEW collection (…. and it’s not foils!!), the first of our The Knobel brush collection: Tone Me!
Over 2 years in the making, we teamed up with our good friend and Australian ambassador, Sheree Knobel of Bixie Colour to create a product with love, for you. Tone Me is crafted with durable materials and has softer, longer and bushier bristles, our signature embossing on the handle and a rounder tail comb to ensure the comfort of you and your guest! With more designs to join Brush Me in 2020, be sure to keep your eyes peeled on our Insta, website and app for more 😉
